I am a very, very sad girl lately

Things have come to a complete halt. I think for good this time.

Good things have to come to an end, I suppose, although I'm not ready to. I haven't shed a tear, and as I type this, I'm quite proud of myself for not having the urge to. Have I really moved on? Have I accepted that we're really through?

Here's what I've done so far:

Vegas x 2 (both times were lots of fun and very unique in its own way)
Mt. Pinos with the family. Ended up bruising up both knees since Naomi was a little too eager in the snow, and pulled me down.

Looking forward to:
Tahoe in February
Mel's birthday at Osteria La Buca next weekend
Rock Band party!
Maui in the near future

IT's official...

I'm going to Spokane, WA in August. Spokane!?! I know...it's insane! I'll have to use up some work hours to browse the interweb for things to see/do. He is one lucky boy, as I've been shopping way too much at V.S. for cute stuff. I'm so excited!

I'm back

At 2:00PM on Saturday, I went to the Burbank airport to check in my luggage for my Seattle flight. After printing out my boarding ticket, which read 5:40 boarding time, I went to Annie and Andy's wedding, not too far from the airport. The ceremony was sweet, Annie looked great, and Andy didn't have a beard (must have whacked it off after the Indian ceremony.) It ended at about 3:15, and the reception didn't start til 4:30.

A bunch of us headed down to Tujunga for the reception and waited around for the open-bar to begin...yaay for open-bar weddings!! I had my eye on the time since I didn't want to miss my boarding time. At 5:25, the wedding party was introduced to the reception. As soon as they announced the newly wed couple, I hopped in the car, drove back to the airport like a maniac. As soon as I got to terminal B, with an increased heart rate, an up-do, and MAC make-up still intact, it was 5:38!! With 2 minutes to spare, I perused the snack stand, but couldn't decide on peanuts or cashews. As I got closer to the podium, I noticed the boarding time started with a 6. Turns out, it was changed to 6:45!! Oh well, a girl can only learn from this lesson.

On my flight, I sat next to this really cool chick, Valerie. She was a talker, but she put me at ease, and the 2 hours went by rather quickly, aside from the free booze on the plane! OH YEAH! She had her coors light, and I with my Jack and Diet...mmmmm...we tried to pay the flight attendant, but she wouldn't take our money. As we approached to Seattle, I became anxious and excited to see G again. Valerie and I continued to make girl talk as we made our way throught the Sea-Tac airport with a slight buzz, and I spotted his shaved head amongst the crowd of welcomers. After Valerie and I exchanged numbers and said our good-bye, I ran to G's arms....aah, that felt good!

Overall, the trip was awesome. We had such a good time...I can't wait to see him again!

W E D D I N G S

I have three weddings to attend this year -
Annie and Andy in Burbank this Saturday
Cherryl and Jojit at the Wynn in Las Vegas in July
Melissa and Marcel in Elysian Park on Sept 15 (My bday!)

I'm excited for both couples; excited to shop for shoes and dresses, although I probably have a dozen to chose from.

I'm flying to Seattle this Saturday after the wedding. Can't wait!

Chadaka Thai

Mmmm...Chadaka Thai. My mouth waters every time I think of this quaint restaurant in Burbank, CA. I'm meeting Mel, and possibly Sheryl and Trin, after work for Happy Hour. I think wine and well drinks is $1 off. Not bad, eh? Give it a shot if you're in the area.

Annie's wedding is the day I leave for Seattle. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but I'm gonna make my 6:40PM flight on tinme! I'll be in a dress and heels, jetting off to the Pacific Northwest. Aaahh, can't wait!

I wish I could see more shows. Seeing Travis at the Henry Fonda a few weeks ago brought back so many good memories. Free concerts, waiting over night to get a good spot in the pit, meeting new people...so fun! I think I just might go to the Puma part at the Roxy. I've never seen MSTRKRFT live and their songs are in constant rotation in my Ipod.

Seattle in June

I've booked the hotel and flight for my upcoming Seattle trip. I can't believe I'm going to see G again. Super excited! My diet officialy started on Monday: coffee, cigs, alcohol and I'm good for the day...not quite, though. I've completely cut-off carbs all together, and only liquids after 6PM. Sugar-free Jello is liquid, right?

I need a new wardrobe!

Danse with the stars

This season's Dancing with the Stars is going to be amazing. I was able to see a few: mailman from Cheers (forgot his name), Billy Ray Cyrus (yikes!), Laila Ali. All 3 performances did not disappoint one bit. All 3 were graceful, yet comical at the same time.

Speaking of comical, I also caught a glimpse of Ray J and Kim Kash's sex tape. Not hot at all, unfortch. Ray J kept making these obscene facial expressions. If ever I see a guy making that same fuck face at me, I'd seriously leave. Seriously. Kim's body is amazing...

A stressful week at work lead to 3 happy hours (Chevy's, Claim Jumper, The Rack) and 1 dinner with Jack (Macaroni Gill). Insane, I know. Hopefully, this forthcoming week will be stress-free and I'll hit the gym instead of downing margaritas and carbs.

In other news, I may be visiting G at the end of May. I want to see Bjork at the Sasquatch Music Festival in George, WA but I don't think there's an airport in the city. I suggested Seattle, but I made it known that I would feel bad if he had to drive 4 hours to see me. His response? "I would take a 7 hour train ride to see you" Totally unexpected response and it made me want to research flight/hotel deals ASAP.

There's also talks of going to NYC. I hope my friends and I don't lag and will actuall book a flight soon!!

Looking forward to

-300 in IMAX (omgicantwait!)
-gym with Jack and Buster - yeah, it'll happen soon
-Cinespace for the Nylon party**happened already = way fun! Free vodka and beer!
-yard sale with my former co-worker - should be fun. She's about 62 and I can't wait to talk to her and receive some much needed advice
-a couple of hour long phone calls with Greg...it's become a weekend ritual

I'm feeling a little distant

Yet I didn't change locations. Still here. I need to stop being so self-destructive, that's all. I need a vacation. Some place tropical would be ideal

The roses arrived at G's work yesterday. He was totally suprised and it made all the ladies jealous...and I'm sure some of the dudes were a little surprised that a boy received roses. I had a lot of fun doing it, even though I know I won't receive any from him...it's the thought that counts, right?

Happy valentine's day!
